I read a post from a lady looking for help/advice on her hair. She made a note of saying how her hair looks kroes but the word was used in a negative tone; as if it were a description for what hair is NOT supposed to look like. I just want to say : if your hair is kroes, it is kroes. You can’t pretend it isn’t. You can, with many chemical treatments but that completely defeats the purpose of returning to natural, LOL!
To the ladies with kroes hair:
– Accept that you don’t have “gladde hare”.
– Accept that sleek hair is NOT the stamp of approval for healthy hair.
– Accept that your hair goals are not true representations of your hair or hair type.
– Hair goals and the expectations of a twist out etc, can keep you searching and wanting for something other than your own crown 👀
LASTLY: Always remember the first step to completely loving your authentic self is to STOP speaking negatively about your hair!
**Set realistic goals for yourself, for example:
This year I will trim every 2 months to eliminate my split ends and keep my hair healthy OR set out to GROW your hair by including scalp massages each day and a few months down the line, compare your length to your previous length check. Hell, whatever you decide, make it an achievable and realistic goal 💃
